A Look Ahead: Windows 8, Surface Tablet to Debut on the Heels of the iPad Mini
Posted by | October 15, 2012
If you thought September was a big month for technology announcements with the iPhone 5, new Kindles, and other tablets and phones creating mobile opportunities for startups, wait until you see what’s on tap in the next couple weeks.
Next week, many media suspect Apple will debut the new iPad mini on Oct. 23 to compete directly with tablets from Amazon and Google. The timing of the announcement certainly seems to confirm that. Just a few days later, on Oct. 26, Microsoft will release its Surface tablet and Windows 8.
This technology might further fuel tablet use in healthcare. An increasing number of doctors are using tablets to help treat patients and apps to help monitor patients’ health.
