With more than 15 years of operational experience, Dave brings to Safeguard a strong foundation in budgeting and forecasting, SEC reporting, consolidations and financial controls.

At Safeguard, Dave leads the overall accounting and reporting function while also serving as the relationship manager with all of Safeguard’s partner company finance departments.

Prior to joining Safeguard, Dave was Senior Director, Finance and Controller at Discovery Laboratories, a publicly-traded biotechnology company focused on developing surfactant therapies for respiratory diseases, where he was responsible for forecasting and budgeting, SEC reporting and financial controls. In addition, Dave built financial capabilities for the commercial launch of the Company’s first FDA-approved product, and prepared financial models for company valuations, potential strategic alliances and product licensing opportunities.

Dave was Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidations at Globus Medical from 2010 to 2012 where he was responsible for financial reporting and analysis, global consolidations and drafting of the financial sections of the Form S-1 filed with the SEC in connection with the Company’s IPO in 2012.

Dave began his career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor. Dave is a Certified Public Accountant and has a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University.
