Marketing Communications Associate

Driving Key Messages to Core Audiences.

Anthony has spent the majority of his career building entrepreneurs’ credibility through strategic digital marketing and public relations efforts. He brings to Safeguard the foresight and understanding of the necessary tools to effectively identify and reach prospective customers.

Anthony comes to Safeguard from Slice Communications, where he was steadfast in his commitment to the Greater Philadelphia area’s broadening startup community. As a part of the agency’s management team, he served in both business development and tactical client execution roles. An increasing demand for services, dedicated to separating startups from a crowded field, spurred a period of substantial growth. As a result, Anthony led grassroots workshops for dozens of Philadelphia-based companies and brought national attention to Philadelphia’s tech scene on numerous occasions, including AOL Founder Steve Case’s “Rise of the Rest Road Trip” in 2015.

Prior to Slice, Anthony served as a communications specialist at Gwynedd Mercy University. Comprised of many elements, he took on the primary role of editor-in-chief of the biannual alumni magazine with a circulation of more than 17,000. Additionally, Anthony handled media relations and aided the department during the long-time college’s transition to university status. The foundation of Anthony’s work, rooted in journalism, began in the CBS Philly newsroom. As a production assistant, Anthony shaped on-air stories from initial concept to broadcast.

Anthony graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media and a minor in History.

“By leveraging Safeguard’s robust marketing and communications platform, partner companies gain added exposure to an extensive network of high-potential partners and customers.”
