Steve Friedman — Advisor to early-stage companies
Mr. Friedman advises early-stage companies in the areas of go-to-market strategy, product positioning, business development and executive recruitment.
Mr. Friedman serves as an Independent Board Director at Mocana and Boxtone, and sits on the Advisory Boards for FirstBest Systems, and Safeguard Scientifics. Past Advisory Board positions include Rapid Logic (acquired by Wind River) and Collaxa (acquired by Oracle).
Mr. Friedman served as BEA Systems' Vice President, Channels for the Americas. In this position, he was instrumental in growing the indirect channels business to over $100m. Mr. Friedman came to BEA through the acquisition of WebLogic, where he built and co-managed the field sales organization,
Mr. Friedman also held sales executive and business development positions with leading Enterprise Software firms such as Scopus Technology, Verity, Neuron Data, and Bachman Information Systems.
