During the war years, Safe-Guard’s sales and production lagged, and the company fell from its position of strength.

With great focus and foresight, Lancaster Corporation enacted an extensive rejuvenation program for Safe-Guard, beginning with redesigning the company’s core product. The company soon reclaimed its leadership position in the field of check-writers, among other office and home products.
